Just a day of relaxing!

The HI Hostel in Fredericton is a previous convent built over 120 years ago!!!! Alberta isn't even that old. Our bedroom is on the 2nd floor, and has the fan in the window. Even though it was only 18 degrees and overcast, it was very muggy & the fan helped a lot!! So, those that were laughing at me when I packed my fan, I'm glad I took it with.

It's been really neat staying in hostels. We've met people from all over the world, and their stories are all so interesting. In addition, it's given us a great opportunity to connect with the locals from each area, giving us a window into the communities we visit. Plus, it's just so much cheaper...

Father's Day & the First Day of Summer...Weird not being home with Randy today. The boys miss you, Ran!! You are a blessing in their lives, and we are grateful for what you give of yourself. Thankfully, we have a cell phone, and that makes talking pretty simple! We will be home already in 2 weeks!

It didn't feel like the first day of summer -- a dreary day, and we were tired out from going, going, going, so decided to have a down day and just rest up.

We went to a morning church service here in Fredericton, and were back home by lunch time. We napped, then went to Oddell Park (similar to Rundle in Edmonton) for fresh air. The boys & I used our bikes today on some of the local trails and in the city a bit. At least they got used...we hauled them all the way out here and have only used them twice!!

I am currently listening to sleeping sounds of 3 people, and think I should join them...tomorrow morning we plan to head out by 7:00 for Trois Rivieres. Morning will come quickly.
