Is it a zebra? Is it an elephant? No, it's a MONKEY!

Today, we spent a lovely afternoon at the African Lion Safari! What a wonderful day. Because we had our bikes on the back of our vehicle we were advised NOT to take our own vehicle because the monkeys would like damage the bikes in some way. So, we took the tour bus and loved every minute of it!!! The boys thought it was so exciting to see real giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, monkeys, lions, and more in a semi-natural environment (not in small cages). We spent the whole afternoon there.

Deon decided he needed to buy a $4 icecream cone after the tour, and Nathan told Deon "I'm not getting one....I have better things to spend my money on". I wonder who will be the saver between the two of them......

Although it was a little on the pricey side ($30 per person), we all felt it was worth it.

  1. Awesome pictures. Kristin thought she would love to see Amish country. Looks like you had a good turnout at the VanRaalte gathering -- would love to see more pictures of faces from there if you have them. Sounds like you are enjoying yourselves. Is Mom having fun? Happy touring!

BTW...these pics of the animals are not of the Van Raalte family...these are at the Lion Safari -- you seemed a little confused :)
